Clare Charnley, UK
Clare Charnley is a British installation and performance artist based in Leeds, born in 1949 United Kingdom in the UK. She has exhibited internationally and lectured in many of art colleges in the UK and abroad, and is currently a fine art lecturer at Leeds Metropolitan University of Art. She is currently a senior lecturer in Fine Art at the Hull School of Art & Design, University of Lincoln.
Her current work Transborder Language is concerned the gaps between visual and spoken communications and between different cultures. It is a performance in the form of a lecture and has been performed in Luxemburg, Beijing, Tel Aviv, Paris, Krakow and Tallinn.
